Hosting
Web hosting vs VPS for a marketing site
Shared hosting and a VPS are not the same product. Size CPU, backups, and SSL to the marketing site — unlimited hosting is not honest.

When shared hosting is enough
A brochure site with modest traffic, few editors, and no heavy application can live on well-run shared hosting: SSL, backups, and a support path when PHP or the panel breaks. The limit is noisy neighbours and little room to grow.
When a VPS is the better fit
A VPS is a better fit when you need isolation, scheduled jobs, or a stack you actually control — including sites like this one. Management then means updates, monitoring, SSL, backups, and incident response. Capacity is quoted. It is not a mystery “unlimited cloud” tile.
- SSL and automated backups you can name in the handover
- DNS changes written down so email hosting is not overwritten
- A path to move the site later without guessing passwords
Hosting is not the marketing campaign
Hosting keeps the pages online. SEO, ads, and social still need their own briefs. If the site is also being rebuilt, keep website development and hosting as two lines. Contact us with the current host, traffic level, and whether mail must stay untouched.
FAQ
Is hosting unlimited?
No honest host is unlimited. We size CPU, storage, and traffic after we see the site and the expected load.
Do you only manage servers you provide?
We can provision hosting or take over an existing VPS panel. The scope is written in the proposal.
Should email live on the same server as the website?
Often no. Mail DNS and mailboxes are safer as their own workstream so a site move does not break inbox access.
